Stuck Sketches Guest Designer

Hi all,

I was thrilled when I was chosen to be the guest designer on Stuck Sketches for the second half of July and loved the sketch when Laura sent it through. I pulled out my Simple Stories papers (most come from the Domestic Bliss) range and had a ball making my layout, so much so that I recorded it and made a process video.

Here is my layout and the sketch:

I would love it if you joined in with all the fun. Here is my video:

Well that's it for now. My holidays are coming to an end and I have to start doing some school work, however, I have one last video going live tomorrow.

Take care and happy crafting,

Unity Blog Hop

Hi all,

Thanks for joining me today, you've either hopped from Teresa's blog or stumbled across me on the web but however you've gotten here let's get started with my blog hop post for Unity Stamps. I'm using one of the gorgeous Angie girls to make my card - Shari Girl. Plus I have also used stamps from the February 2017 KOTM - Unexpected Places.  Here is my card:
and some close ups:

I have also created a process video for your enjoyment (well I hope you enjoy it anyway!).

Please follow the hop and leave nice comments along the way for your chance to win a great prize from Unity Stamps.

The order for the hop is as follows, and from me please hop along to Sandra.

July's Challenge Your Stash YouTube Hop

Hi all,

It's been a busy crafty month here for me, I've made quite a few layouts and some cards whilst relaxing during my school holidays.

Today is our monthly hop for us Challenge your Stash girls and we decided to use 'unusual elements' on our pages, i.e. those random things that have nothing to do with the theme/photos of the layout. This is something that I struggle with as I like my embellishments to have something to do with the layout but not today! Because we all know pineapples and taco trucks have everything to do with a school cross country race, right?!? Intrigued? well watch my video to find out how I did it.

Don't forget to check out the other videos in this month's hop, details can be found in the description area of my video.

Well thanks for taking a peep. I'll catch you very soon with another creation.

Take care and happy crafting,
Helen xx

Stuck Sketches Challenge

Hello all,

I am so enjoying my holidays, I've found my scrapping mojo and am having a blast creating layouts. I decided to play along with the first challenge for July over on the Stuck Sketches blog. This is the sketch:

This is my take on the sketch:

It's funny how you can procrastinate about things (well I can anyway!) but I finally set up my Silhouette machine in my scrapping space after living this house for 2 years! I cut out these hearts as a test and loved them. I really dove into my stash and used some Glitz papers from 2013 plus teamed them up with some Shimelle Little by Little embellishments.

That's it for now, I'll be back before you know it.

Take care and happy crafting,

Helen xx

Guest Designer for Let's Get Sketchy

Hi all,

I'm a bit excited here as I have a busy month scrapping wise and to kick it off I am this month's guest designer at Let's Get Sketchy. If you don't know this site then you must hop on over and join in all the sketchy fun. Every month there are two challenges posted on the 1st and the 15th and it's lots of fun.

This month there is also a mood board to use as inspiration and it is in honour of the 4th of July.

I must admit that these colours aren't my favourite to use together seeing as I'm not much of a red girl but I did manage to make a page.

Luckily I was inspired by the Statue of Liberty. Half way through the month I make a page using red and blue.

Here is my layout:

This is the sketch for the first half of the month:

So why don't you give it a go!

That's all for now, take care and happy crafting.

June Challenge Let's Get Sketchy

Hi all,

As I'm on holidays I am staying up to the wee hours in the morning crafting and having a great old time, isn't it great not having to worry about adulting and getting up early for work! Last night I decided t have a go at using the 2nd June challenge on Let's Get Sketchy, here is a look at the sketch:

And this is my interpretation of it:

I used mainly the Simple Stories So Fancy range (just to show you can make a boy layout with a 'girls' range if you choose carefully) plus some wood veneers and enamel dots.

Well that's if now, I'm off to get snuggly as the weather is awful here - well it's great indoors weather that's for sure.

Take care and happy crafting,

Helen xx

P.S. before you know it I'll be back as July is a super busy month for me crafting wise.
