Canvas Number 2

Hi all (2nd time tonight!),

Well the second birthday of the 50th club has rolled around and my second variation of the 5 poppies canvas was this:

There was also a quote added after this photo was taken that said: Best Friends are the ones who are there: whenever; wherever; however and most importantly: forever.

The third birthday is in 3 days time so I need to get started asap! Then I have a break until June!

Well that's it for tonight, really is this time!

Stuck?! Sketches February Sketch

Hi all,

I've spent my Saturday night watching videos and scrapping. I used the latest sketch from Stuck?! Sketches -

and a photo of my son and I just before his Year 12 ball. Well at least I got a photo of Ben all dressed up! Sam didn't want to go so he stayed home with me and spent the night talking playing computer games and talking to his mate over the computer. Anyway here is the page:

Sorry photo has a bit of glare on it, that's what happens when you take it at 10:30 at night under your desk lamps!

Well that's it for tonight.
Take care and happy crafting,

Challenge Your Stash

Hi all,

I've teamed up with a few girls from around the world and we have called ourselves "Challenge Your Stash" and our first YouTube hope went live today. We all used a sketch from Creative Scrappers and drew our inspiration from it. This is the sketch:

and this is the page I created:

I used mainly my supplies from Simple Stories  So Fancy range and 3 silly photos of me!

Here is a link to my video:

I hope you enjoy it and all the other videos in the hop. These are the links to them all:

Card Video

Morning all,

I have been meaning to make card and scrapbook videos for a while and well 'meaning to' has all that has eventuated for quite some time, that is until now! I have made my first card tutorial and uploaded it to YouTube. My secret life as a YouTuber has just had another kick start. This video will join my library of six, woo hoo!

Anyway (I think I said this word way too many ties in my video!) I used the Andie Girl stamp from Unity Stamps for this simple but fun card to make. Well it is fun if you like colouring in.

Here is the link to my video . . . .

Please don't be too harsh on my beginning attempts, I must admit listening to my voice I pity the kids in my classroom all day!

Take care and happy crafting,
Helen xx

50th Birthday Canvas

Hi all,

I was asked a few weeks ago if I could possibly make a canvas for a group of ladies to give to one of their friends for her 50th birthday. They wanted their 5 sets of initials to be incorporated into the canvas somehow. After discussing the design I created 5 poppies, each one representing each woman and their initials are on each stem. Hidden in the background are words relating to friendship and the quote reads: "A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself." by Jim Morrison.
Well they had her birthday celebration and apparently they all loved it and I have been asked to make variations of it so that they all can have one for their 50th birthdays, which are all this year.

That's it for now,
take care and happy crafting,
Helen xx
